Step-by-Step Instructions
Choose the Table & Backdrop
Pick a sturdy table against a wall and add a simple backdrop — a fabric drape, balloon garland or greenery.
Create Levels
Add height with cake stands, tiered trays and upturned boxes hidden under a cloth so the display isn't flat.
Place the Anchors
Position the largest items first — the cake, a big platter, a drinks dispenser — spacing them across the table.
Fill In the Gaps
Arrange smaller treats (cupcakes, cookies, fruit, lollies) in groups of odd numbers around the anchors.
Add Colour & Texture
Weave in fresh flowers, greenery or themed props, and vary colours and textures for an abundant feel.
Finishing Touches
Add small signs or labels, serving utensils and stacks of plates and napkins at each end.
Safety Notes
Keep perishable items chilled until serving and out of direct sun. Provide serving tongs and label anything containing common allergens.
Waste & Recycling Tips
Use your own platters, cake stands and boards rather than disposables, and send leftovers home with guests in reusable containers.
