Fresh Flower Crown
Weave a fresh flower crown for a bride, hen's party or flower girl. A romantic, festival-ready accessory you can make in under an hour.
Materials
- Fresh flowers (small heads) (1–2 bunches)
- Greenery (1 bunch)
- Florist wire (1 roll)
- Floral tape (1 roll)
- Ribbon (optional) (1 m)

Step-by-Step Instructions
Measure the Head
Measure around the head and shape a length of florist wire into a circle to fit, twisting the ends together.
Wrap the Base
Wrap the wire circle with floral tape to give the flowers something to grip.
Prep Small Bunches
Trim flowers and greenery to short stems and gather them into little clusters.
Attach the Clusters
Lay each cluster on the base and bind the stems on with floral tape, overlapping so the heads hide the stems of the last.
Work Around
Continue around the crown in one direction until the whole base is covered.
Finish & Store
Add ribbon ties at the back if you like, mist lightly with water, and keep in the fridge until it's time to wear.
Safety Notes
Trim wire ends and wrap them well with tape so they don't scratch the wearer. Make crowns close to the event so flowers stay fresh.
Waste & Recycling Tips
Use in-season local blooms and compost the crown afterwards. A florist's offcuts bucket is a cheap source of flowers.
