Personalised Poured Candle Favours
Hand-pour small soy candles in glass jars with custom labels — a beautiful, useful favour or thank-you gift guests will actually keep.
Materials
- Small glass jars (1 per guest)
- Soy wax flakes (1–2 kg)
- Pre-waxed wicks + stickers (1 per jar)
- Candle fragrance oil (1 bottle)
- Printed labels (1 per jar)

Step-by-Step Instructions
Prep the Jars
Clean small glass jars and stick a pre-waxed wick to the centre of each base with a wick sticker.
Melt the Wax
Melt soy wax flakes in a double boiler to about 70°C, stirring gently.
Add Fragrance
Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then stir in candle fragrance oil (about 8–10% by weight).
Pour Carefully
Pour the wax into each jar, keeping the wick centred with a peg or wick holder across the top.
Cure & Trim
Leave candles to set for at least 24 hours, then trim each wick to about 5mm.
Label & Package
Add a custom printed label with your names/date and a thank-you, then group them on a tray for display.
Safety Notes
Melt wax in a double boiler, never directly on the element, and never leave it unattended. Keep the pouring area clear and let candles cure fully before wrapping.
Waste & Recycling Tips
Use recyclable glass jars guests can reuse, and soy wax which is renewable. Save leftover wax to top up future pours.
