Greenery Table Runner
Run a lush line of foliage down the centre of your table for a fresh, high-impact centrepiece. Cheaper and more dramatic than individual arrangements.
Materials
- Assorted long greenery (2–3 bunches)
- Feature flowers (optional) (1 bunch)
- Votive / pillar candles + holders (5–8)

Step-by-Step Instructions
Gather Your Greenery
Collect long-stemmed foliage — eucalyptus, ferns, olive or native greenery all work well.
Lay the Base Line
Run a line of the longest branches down the centre of the table, overlapping the ends to form a continuous strip.
Build Up the Fullness
Layer shorter sprigs on top, alternating direction so the runner looks full and natural from both sides.
Add Flowers (Optional)
Tuck in a few blooms along the runner for pops of colour, keeping them low so guests can see across the table.
Nestle in Candles
Space votive or pillar candles in holders along the greenery at even intervals.
Tidy the Ends
Finish the ends neatly where they meet place settings, and mist the greenery with water to keep it fresh.

Keep candles in stable holders and clear of the foliage. Check greenery for insects before bringing it indoors.
Waste & Recycling Tips
Forage or trim greenery from the garden where you can, and compost it after the event. Eucalyptus dries beautifully and can be reused.
